Only a short time has passed since the start of the season for Dynamo, yet the club’s president, Igor Surkis, is already searching for a new head coach.
According to the Telegram channel Insides by Pasechnik, Surkis has held talks with a foreign coach as a potential replacement.
The source indicates that Kostyuk’s future could be decided by the end of the week if the Dynamo president receives a clear affirmative from the prospective new manager. Surkis is cautious about repeating past mistakes, such as those made with Shovkovskiy.
It is worth recalling that Dynamo advanced past Romanian side Universitatea Cluj only via a penalty shootout in the first qualifying round of the Europa League, after two goalless draws. In the second qualifying round, they were defeated by Greek club PAOK (2-3, 0-2) and will now face Qarabag in the third qualifying round of the Conference League.
