US President Donald Trump has commented on the controversial decision of center Enes Kanter to enter the WNBA draft, aiming to highlight issues surrounding transgender athletes in sports.
“We have imposed a ban on all men except Dennis Rodman and Enes Kanter. These are the only two men allowed to play in the WNBA. Everyone else is prohibited from participating in women’s sports. Where, damn it, is the freedom? Who said that? Please stand up. Honestly, this guy is a monster. He dreams of playing against women. He is willing to identify as a woman to compete against women. I don’t think he truly believes it, but that’s fine,” Trump said during a speech in Oklahoma.
