The future of head coach Sergio Scariolo at Real remains uncertain despite the team reaching the EuroLeague final. Following Sergio Rodriguez’s departure from the sporting director role, it was initially reported that Scariolo would retain his position.
However, the latest update from Marca has reignited speculation about the coach’s potential exit.
It is reported that Juan Carlos Sánchez, who has regained control over the basketball department, is actively considering a coaching change. Among the candidates mentioned are Dimitris Itoudis, currently managing Hapoel Tel Aviv, and Pablo Laso, who coached the Blancos from 2011 to 2022.
The final decision has been postponed until a personal meeting takes place between Florentino Pérez and Juan Carlos Sánchez.
