Oleksandr Usyk remains highly regarded in the boxing world despite a shaky performance against Rico Verhoeven and his announced retirement. This is reflected in the recently released WBO heavyweight rankings.

The Ukrainian boxer has climbed several spots to claim the number two position. Leading the list is Moses Itauma, while the division champion Daniel Dubois is listed separately. Following Usyk in the rankings are Croatian Filip Hrgović and British fighters Anthony Joshua and Fabio Wardley.

It is worth recalling that Usyk previously held the WBO title but later relinquished it along with all his other belts. Fabio Wardley was then recognized as the champion by default but subsequently lost the title fight to Dubois.
