“From a technical standpoint, I think the team performed well. There were two moments when the ball hit the crossbar, but sometimes we need to show more determination both in front of the opponent’s goal and in our own penalty area,” Allegri told DAZN Italia.
“A lot depends on how determined you are in fighting for the ball—both when attacking and defending inside your box.
Perhaps we are making progress, but if we don’t leave the pitch angry today, it means we still have a long way to go. Possession superiority alone is not enough—we must create and convert more goal-scoring chances.
Today, we should be disappointed because in some aspects we could have played better, but our frustration must come from this result; otherwise, it would be worrying.”
