Arsenal’s head coach Mikel Arteta did not dismiss the possibility of signing Vinicius Junior from Real Madrid. Following Arsenal’s 4-1 victory over Girona in the Costa Brava Cup, Arteta was asked about this potential transfer.

“Well, we are very active, trying to improve and develop the team. We expect progress in the coming weeks; we want to keep getting better. We are very ambitious,” Arteta said, maintaining the suspense without denying the prospect of bringing Vinicius to Arsenal.

In contrast, his response to a similar question about a possible signing of Julian Alvarez from Atletico was more straightforward:

“I’m not going to talk about a player who belongs to another club.”
