Benjamin Verbic, aged 32, is set to continue his professional football career with Slovenian club Celje. The former Dynamo Kyiv standout has returned to the team where he first began his journey in football.

Such a move often signals the winding down of a player’s active career. Verbic’s contract with Celje is secured until June 30, 2030.

Verbic represented Dynamo Kyiv from 2018 to 2022, featuring in 79 matches and netting 27 goals during his tenure.

Following his time at Dynamo, the Slovenian midfielder had spells with Legia Warsaw, Panathinaikos, and Levadiakos. However, he was unable to replicate the high level of performance he exhibited while at Dynamo Kyiv.
