The first matches of the third qualifying round in the Champions League have taken place. Yesterday saw the conclusion of this stage with the final two games played.

The home teams emerged victorious in both encounters, though their leads are not commanding enough to guarantee safety in the upcoming second legs. The outcomes will be decided next week.

Matchday: 2026-08-05

Fenerbahce secured a 2-0 win over Sturm, with goals from Talisca in the 9th minute and Greenwood just before halftime in the 45th minute. The match featured yellow cards for Stankovic Y. at 21 minutes, Heil at 58, and Kayombo at 65.

In Aarhus, Aarhus defeated Sabah 2-1. Bogere scored twice for Aarhus, first in the 31st minute and again in the 63rd, before V. Simic pulled one back for Sabah in the 66th minute. Bookings were given to Lynx at 73 and Knudsen at 74 for Aarhus, and to V. Simic at 37 and Mikkels D-L. at 39 for Sabah.
