Cristian Chivu Extends Contract with Inter Until 2028
Milan’s Inter has officially announced the extension of the contract with head coach Cristian Chivu until 2028. The 45-year-old Romanian specialist, whose previous contract was set to expire in 2027, has fully justified the trust of the management. In his very first season at the helm of the team, the former Milan defender led the club to a rare golden double, winning Serie A and the Coppa Italia.
Chivu took over Inter after Simone Inzaghi’s departure to Al-Hilal and managed to successfully rebuild the team. Now the coach faces the task of returning the Milanese club to leading roles in Europe after last year’s failure in the Champions League playoffs against Norwegian Bodø/Glimt.
