Ukrainian winger Viktor Tsyhankov no longer wishes to continue playing for Girona, the club that failed to retain its place in La Liga. This information comes from sports journalist Ihor Tsyhanyk.
“Tsyhankov is not willing to play in the Segunda División—he believes his level of play does not match that of the second tier. As a result, he is setting a condition that he must be released. He is asking the club to accommodate his request. There are clubs in Spain ready to start negotiations. You see, if someone pays 10 million euros, Tsyhankov’s salary will be lower at the club he moves to,” Tsyhanyk explained on his personal channel.
The issue lies in Girona demanding a 10 million euro buyout clause for their star player. Tsyhanyk highlights an important detail: the less money Girona demands, the better the terms Tsyhankov can secure with his new club.
