Juventus has officially confirmed the signing of Brazilian goalkeeper Norberto Neto, who returns to Turin nine years after leaving the club. Neto’s contract will run until June 30, 2027.
Neto previously played for Juventus from 2015 to 2017, appearing in 22 matches over two seasons. During that time, he won two Serie A titles, two Coppa Italia trophies, and the Supercoppa Italiana, serving primarily as the backup to Gianluigi Buffon.
This acquisition comes in response to an injury to Juventus goalkeeper Kamil Grabara. The Polish shot-stopper suffered a torn anterior cruciate ligament in his right knee during training on September 19 and is expected to be sidelined for six to seven months.
With Carlo Pinsoglio not considered the primary deputy to Guglielmo Vicario, Juventus turned to the free agent market, where Neto was the most prominent available goalkeeper.
