Newcastle United has informed Manchester United that left-back Lewis Hall is not available for transfer this summer. The Magpies have rejected Manchester United’s bid as the Red Devils look to strengthen their options at left-back during this transfer window.

The 21-year-old England international was reportedly open to a move, but Newcastle has decided to retain the player for the upcoming season.

Lewis Hall has long been a target for Manchester United to address a problematic position. Currently, under Michael Carrick, Luke Shaw remains the only primary left-back following the departure of Tyrell Malacia.
