ASVEL lost two more top players, letting them go to Serbia and Japan.

ASVEL has lost defenders Bryan Angola and Nick Weiler-Babb due to financial difficulties, with both players moving on to continue their careers at Toyama in Japan and Crvena Zvezda in Serbia, respectively.
Last EuroLeague season, Angola averaged 15.3 points and 3.9 assists. Meanwhile, Weiler-Babb, a former EuroLeague Best Defender, posted 7.7 points and 4.8 assists while playing for Anadolu Efes. Nick was one of ASVEL’s key offseason signings, but his contract was subsequently canceled.
Previously, ASVEL also parted ways with Silven Francisco, Armoni Brooks, and Daniel Tice for similar financial reasons. These players transferred to other EuroLeague clubs: Panathinaikos, Valencia, and Maccabi, respectively.
