Barcelona, having recently signed Josh Niboe and Olek Balcerowski, is continuing its efforts to strengthen its frontcourt.
The club has shown interest in Orshad Nomie, a 24-year-old big man from Nicaragua who has yet to play in Europe. Nomie developed through the NCAA system and made his NBA debut last year.
During his time with the Clippers, Orshad appeared in six games, averaging 2.8 points and 1.2 rebounds per contest. However, it was in the G League where he truly showcased his potential, posting impressive averages of 19.3 points, 12.3 rebounds, and 2.7 assists per game while playing for the San Diego Clippers and Cleveland Charge.
Barcelona is not the only club pursuing the player. Maccabi, Hapoel, and Paris are also looking to bolster their frontlines as the market enters a crucial phase.
