“Hamburg” is the leading candidate to replace “Monaco” in the next season’s European competition.
“Monaco” was previously barred from participating in the upcoming French Championship season due to financial difficulties. It is possible that the team will withdraw from the European competition, opening a spot for the German club “Hamburg”.
Earlier, “Monaco” declined to take part in the Euroleague, where the Turkish club “Beşiktaş” took their place.
