The Los Angeles Clippers have secured a two-year contract worth $13.2 million with guard Bradley Beal. The deal includes a player option for the second season.
After Beal declined his $5.6 million option during the offseason, he explored free agency opportunities, while the Clippers gained additional financial flexibility to strengthen their roster. Ultimately, both parties agreed to bring the three-time All-Star back to Los Angeles following his recovery from hip surgery, which sidelined him for most of last season.
This new contract represents a significant upgrade from his previous deal, offering $13.2 million over two years compared to the earlier $11 million for the same duration. However, last season proved extremely challenging for Beal, as he appeared in only six games and set personal lows across nearly all key metrics, including points, assists, rebounds, steals, blocks, as well as shooting accuracy from the field and free-throw line.
