Forward Mario Hezonja’s $2.8 million contract with the Cleveland Cavaliers will only be guaranteed on November 15.
Hezonja returned to the NBA after resolving a dispute with Real Madrid regarding inaccuracies in the use of his opt-out clause to join the American league.
Now, Hezonja must earn a spot in the Cavaliers’ rotation during training camp and preseason games; otherwise, his minimum contract will be voided without any compensation.
