Burkina Faso striker Lassina Traoré from Shakhtar Donetsk has been called up for a series of international fixtures, including both competitive and friendly matches.

The national team is set to begin their qualification campaign for the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations, with their opening opponents scheduled to be Benin on September 25 and the Central African Republic on September 28. Following these qualifiers, Burkina Faso will travel to Argentina to face the hosts in a friendly match on October 3.

So far, Traoré has earned 31 caps and scored 13 goals for his country. His most recent appearance came on January 9 in the Round of 16 at the Africa Cup of Nations against Ivory Coast. He netted his last international goal a week earlier during the group stage of the tournament in a match against Sudan.
