The NBA has officially announced that the star-studded weekend for the 2026/2027 season will take place from February 19 to 21, 2027, in Phoenix, Arizona.
The event schedule includes the NBA Rising Stars Game, skill challenges, three-point contests, dunk competitions, and the main All-Star Game. Phoenix last hosted the All-Star Game in 2009, making 2027 the city’s first time hosting in 18 years and only the fourth time in its history.
The group stage of the 2026 NBA Cup will kick off on October 30 and conclude on November 27. During this phase, teams will compete for spots in the playoffs. Quarterfinals are set for December 4-5, semifinals on December 8-9, and the final match will be held on December 11. The decisive game will take place in Indianapolis, Indiana, USA.
For the first time in NBA Cup history, the final will not be hosted in Las Vegas but at Hinkle Fieldhouse, the arena of Butler University in Indianapolis, built in 1928. This historic stadium has a capacity of only 9,100 spectators, which is several times smaller than the typical NBA venues.
Starting from the 2026/2027 season, the NBA Cup will undergo significant format changes: the semifinals will no longer be held at a neutral site in Las Vegas, as was the case in the previous three editions.
