On September 26, the city circuit in Baku hosted the latest round of the Formula 1 Azerbaijan Grand Prix.
Pole-sitter George Russell claimed victory, maintaining his lead from start to finish despite two restarts during the race.
Finishing second was Max Verstappen, who started from eighth position but steadily overtook rivals to challenge Russell for the win until the final moments, ultimately finishing just two-tenths of a second behind. The third spot on the podium went to Verstappen’s Red Bull teammate Isack Hadjar, who returned after missing the previous three races due to a wrist injury.
A notable performance came from championship leader Andrea Kimi Antonelli, who climbed from 16th on the grid to finish an impressive fifth.
