UFC legend Conor McGregor has announced the successful completion of surgery following a severe knee injury sustained during his fight against Max Holloway at UFC 329.

The Irish fighter revealed that the operation went well and that his focus will now shift to rehabilitation.

It is worth recalling that McGregor tore his anterior cruciate ligament early in the bout, leading to the fight being stopped after just one minute and six seconds.

Rehabilitation is expected to take between nine and twelve months, meaning McGregor may not return to the octagon until 2027.
