Alexander Aliyev, a well-known Dynamo player, believes that his favorite team will overcome Qarabag in today’s Conference League match, albeit with some difficulties.
“There is no clear favorite in the Dynamo versus Qarabag tie. However, I definitely want the Kyiv side to advance and compete in the main stage of the Conference League. God willing, they will delight us all with a win in the first leg. I hope both Buyala and Yarmola play and each scores a goal. I predict Dynamo will win 2-1,” Aliyev forecasted.
Nevertheless, Aliyev expressed little enthusiasm about Dynamo’s participation in this competition overall:
“You know, I’ll tell you this… When I played for Dynamo, competing in the Conference League would have been seen as a tragedy because our generation always aimed to play in the Champions League. Unfortunately, nowadays the Conference League seems to be our ceiling…”
