Anatoliy Trubin was voted the best player in yesterday’s Nations League match between Georgia and Ukraine, receiving 81 percent of the fan votes. However, Trubin himself disagrees with this assessment.
“I appreciate the fans recognizing my performance, but personally, I would give this award to Taras Mykhavko. I liked how he played. It was only his second game, but he won all the duels and handled the ball very well. Well done,” Trubin shared in an interview with the Ukrainian Association of Football press service.
Meanwhile, the statistics suggest that Anatoliy is being modest. He made five saves against Georgian shots, with at least two of those being of the highest quality. Without his efforts, Ukraine would likely not have left Tbilisi undefeated.
