Ukraine national team head coach Andrea Maldera addressed the absence of Tottenham winger Mykhailo Mudryk from the squad. The player suffered an injury last week and will be sidelined until October.

“Regarding Mudryk, unfortunately, you have all seen his injury. We feel very sorry, and so does he. We have been in frequent contact with him about this. I am also in communication with his club.

Of course, what he is going through is not easy. I told him to stay calm. There might be an opportunity for him to play for the national team in the future. We hope he will be able to join us soon,” Maldera said.

It is worth noting that Ukraine will play four UEFA Nations League matches between September 25 and October 5:

September 25: Hungary vs Ukraine
September 28: Georgia vs Ukraine
October 2: Ukraine vs Northern Ireland
October 5: Ukraine vs Hungary
