Shakhtar’s new signing, Bruninho Ramos, has given his first interview as a player for the “miners.” The midfielder joined the Ukrainian Premier League club from Atlético Paranaense, signing a contract through 2029.

“I’m very happy. The team welcomed me warmly. The experience in Brazil and Europe is different — the first training session was physically demanding. But overall, I’m very satisfied,” Bruninho said.

He expressed great pride in representing Shakhtar. “It’s an honor to play for Shakhtar. This was a dream I never even imagined. It’s an opportunity to make a name for myself in Europe, to showcase my abilities at the highest level, and to provide a better life for my family.”

Bruninho highlighted his strengths on the pitch: “My best qualities are one-on-one play and finishing in attack. I know how to score goals. I’m ready to help Shakhtar both in training and in official matches.”

When asked which Brazilian Shakhtar players he admires, he mentioned Fernandinho and Kevin, noting that he shares a similar role with the latter.

“Being a Shakhtar player is an honor and a dream come true,” he concluded.

Bruninho (Bruno Braga Ramos) is a product of the Atlético Paranaense academy, where he played for the youth and reserve teams starting in 2021. He made his senior debut in January 2026 and has since appeared in 16 matches—6 in the Brazilian Serie A and 10 in the Paranaense state championship—scoring 4 goals. On March 28, 2026, he debuted for the Brazil U20 national team, marking his first game with 2 goals and 1 assist.
