Argentina demonstrated life after Lionel Messi with their most dominant victory in over three and a half years, thrashing Burkina Faso 7-0.

The last time the Albiceleste secured such a commanding win was in March 2023, when they also defeated Curaçao by the same scoreline.

Lautaro Martínez was instrumental in this triumph, scoring once and providing two assists. Prestianni contributed both a goal and an assist, while Mastantuono, Pass, Álvarez, Simone, and an own goal rounded off the scoring.

Shakhtar forward Lassina Traoré did not feature in this match.
