Everton Agrees £24 Million Deal to Sign Chelsea Winger Tyrick George
Everton have finalized a deal worth up to £24 million to sign Chelsea winger Tyrick George. The 20-year-old spent the latter half of last season on loan at the Toffees, with an option to buy.
The transfer fee is structured with a base amount of £18 million, while the remaining sum will be paid through bonuses linked to European qualification and the number of appearances. Chelsea also secured a clause entitling them to 15% of any future sale of the player.
During his loan spell, George featured in 11 matches for Everton, starting only once, but he impressed manager David Moyes. Reflecting on George’s four-month stint, Moyes described him as “a great lad with excellent work ethic.”
George becomes Everton’s second signing of the summer following the £16 million acquisition of Hayden Hackney from Middlesbrough.
