Georgiy Bushchan Released as Al-Shabab Terminates Contract by Mutual Consent
Saudi club Al-Shabab has officially announced the termination of their contract with Ukrainian goalkeeper Georgiy Bushchan, expressing gratitude for his contributions. The separation was mutually agreed upon by both parties.
Bushchan initially signed with the Saudi team in January 2025 but struggled to secure a place in the squad. Consequently, he spent the 2025/26 season on loan at Polissya, where he currently remains.
According to Ukrainian insiders, Polissya does not plan to extend Bushchan’s loan deal, which is set to expire soon, making his departure from the club highly likely. Instead, Polissya is actively searching for a goalkeeper to sign during the upcoming summer transfer window, as their third-choice keeper, Oleg Kudryk, may also leave the club this summer. At present, Evgeniy Volynets continues to hold the position of the team’s first-choice goalkeeper.
