Klopp’s Germany Suffers First Ever Defeat to Greece at Home
Germany suffered their first-ever defeat against Greece in history. In the second round of the UEFA Nations League, Jurgen Klopp‘s side lost 0-1 at home. Prior to this match, the German national team had recorded seven wins and three draws against the Greeks.
Klopp‘s team was expected to capitalize on their advantage before the breakthrough by Kourbelis. However, the visitors’ goalkeeper Zolakis and the goalposts stood firm to deny the hosts.
On the 74th minute, Zolas orchestrated the decisive goal for Kourbelis, who managed to beat Nübel.
Following this setback, Germany has just one point and sits third in Group A2.
