The second round of the new UEFA Nations League season kicked off today, September 27, with a match between the national teams of Lithuania and Azerbaijan, both competing in Group D2.
The encounter started energetically, with both sides exchanging goals within the first 15 minutes. On the 9th minute, Kuchys put the hosts ahead from the penalty spot, but just five minutes later, Emreli leveled the score for Azerbaijan. Despite this lively start, no further goals were scored, and the match ended in a 1-1 draw.
Lithuania currently leads their group with four points from two matches. Meanwhile, Azerbaijan and Liechtenstein have each played one match, with Azerbaijan holding one point and Liechtenstein yet to earn any.
