Lunin Provides Assist as Diaz Praises Goalkeeper in Real Madrid Win
Real Madrid goalkeeper Andriy Lunin and midfielder Brahim Diaz shared their thoughts following their victory over Deportivo in the Teresa Herrera Cup match, where the Ukrainian keeper notably provided an assist with a hand pass from halfway across the pitch.
“It was a very good match, with a great atmosphere and a beautiful stadium. All of this serves perfectly as preparation for the championship. The assist happened naturally: I recovered the ball after a corner and immediately looked for a way to launch a quick attack. We are working a lot with the new coach; the process is very intense and demanding, but we really enjoy it,” Lunin commented.
The sole goal scorer, Brahim Diaz, praised the Ukrainian goalkeeper for his perfect pass.
“Lunin spotted me perfectly. Controlling the ball with my chest gave me a big advantage. The goal turned out great, but it was all thanks to Andriy. I feel very good, I am working hard, and I am extremely satisfied with Mourinho, the staff, and my teammates,” Diaz added.
