Manchester City now face another potential form of punishment following accusations from the English Premier League involving 114 financial breaches.
According to The Athletic, a former senior Premier League executive privately suggested that the club could be docked between 20 and 25 points over a period spanning three to five years. The proposal reportedly aims to avoid expelling the club from the top tier, instead confining them to a “dead zone” in the middle of the table, effectively cutting off their access to revenue from European competitions.
