In the MLS regular season, Inter Miami hosted one of the Eastern Conference’s bottom teams, Columbus, in the 18th round.

This match was notable for the return of last season’s champion and the team’s star player, Lionel Messi. The Argentine came off the bench in the 58th minute but did not make any decisive contributions.

Luis Suarez stood out by scoring a goal and providing a key assist to Allen. However, Columbus managed to rally back. An own goal by Casemiro and a strike from Mendes secured a 2-2 draw.

Currently, Inter Miami holds second place in the Eastern Conference, trailing Nashville by two points.
