Mohamed Kanté Extends Shakhtar Contract Until 2031
Shakhtar Donetsk has secured a new long-term contract with young forward Mohamadu Kante. The club and the Gambian striker have agreed to extend their partnership for five years, with the deal running until June 30, 2031.
“I’m happy to be part of the Shakhtar family. I’m here to help the team and myself. I want to build a successful career within this family,” Kante stated.
Mohamadu Kante joined Shakhtar’s Academy in 2024. During the 2025/26 season, he played for Shakhtar U19, helping the team clinch the gold medals.
Kante also emerged as the top scorer in the U19 National League, netting 28 goals in 28 matches. In doing so, he broke Matvey Ponomarenko’s record for the most goals scored in a single season.
