Neymar’s father recently commented on his son’s decision to retire from the Brazil national team after the 2026 World Cup.
He expressed the possibility that Neymar might return to the five-time world champions’ squad, saying, “I can’t guarantee that he has 100 percent finished playing for the Brazil national team. Maybe he will come back.”
Neymar responded to this with a laugh, remarking, “It’s not my father playing!”
Regarding his future plans, Neymar stated, “I’m not thinking about retiring. I have a contract with Santos until December, and I want to give everything for the club. After that, I will consider my options. Whether to stay, leave, retire, or continue playing… I don’t know yet! There is still time until December. We’ll see.”
