Following the win, the star forward behaved provocatively, taunting both opponents and their supporters. Among his actions, he shouted “You’re out!” directed at the Remo players and fans, while pointing to the Santos emblem.
After the match, Remo’s president Antonio Carlos Teixeira delivered a strong statement addressing the incident.
“It feels like we were treated unfairly. Santos didn’t need this. And that rude Neymar, adored by countless children, acted like a clown and then went on to provoke us. We are to blame for idolizing people like him,” Teixeira told Goal.
Notably, Neymar, aged 34, contributed an assist during the game.
