Napoli striker Romelu Lukaku has once again failed to report for the club’s preseason training camp. This has become something of a pattern for the Belgian forward, who also delayed his return from vacation during the winter break.

According to insider Fabrizio Romano, the 33-year-old is aiming to leave Napoli during the current transfer window. One of the clubs interested in signing him is Atlanta United from the United States, although Lukaku is still considering other options.

Meanwhile, Napoli has chosen not to escalate the situation, confirming that Lukaku was granted several extra days off with the club’s approval. It is expected that he will join the “Azzurri” squad in the coming days.

Lukaku has been with Napoli since the summer of 2024, and his contract runs through 2027.
