According to insider Fabrizio Romano, Napoli striker Romelu Lukaku is close to leaving the club. His next destination is expected to be Fenerbahce.
Last season, Lukaku was limited to just seven appearances for Napoli due to injuries, scoring only one goal during that time.
“Romelu Lukaku is getting closer to a move to Fenerbahce,” Romano tweeted. “An agreement has already been reached with the player, and negotiations between the clubs are progressing.
Fenerbahce’s initial offer of €6 million was rejected, but a new proposal is being prepared for Napoli. The deal is close to completion.”
It is worth noting that Lukaku’s current contract with the Italian club runs until 2027.
