Nottingham Forest remains keen to strengthen their squad ahead of the new season and is targeting a Manchester City player.
The Birmingham-based club has set its sights on 28-year-old Dutch international midfielder Tijjani Reijnders.
Following the sale of Elliot Anderson to Manchester City, Forest is now interested in acquiring Reijnders as part of their efforts to bolster Oliver Glasner’s squad before the upcoming campaign.
According to the Daily Mail, Reijnders is prepared to move to the City Ground for a fee of £55 million, having struggled to secure a regular starting spot at Manchester City after his £47 million transfer from Milan.
With Anderson and Rodri expected to anchor Manchester City’s midfield next season, Reijnders faces limited playing time, whereas he would be a key figure in Glasner’s team.
Last season, the Dutchman featured in 47 matches across all competitions for Manchester City, scoring seven goals and providing eight assists.
