Olivier Giroud, the striker for Lille who will celebrate his 40th birthday tomorrow, has revealed that his playing career is nearing its end.
“I could happily give another interview to L’Equipe next year, but this will most likely be my final season as a player. That’s why I’m savoring every moment,” Giroud told the French publication.
It is worth recalling that Giroud scored 57 goals for the France national team and held the record as their top scorer until Kylian Mbappé surpassed him. Mbappé currently has 67 goals for Les Bleus.
