PAOK and Razvan Lucescu Mutually Agree to Part Ways
Greek club PAOK has officially announced the termination of their cooperation with head coach Razvan Lucescu. The decision to part ways was reached by mutual agreement.
The club paid tribute to Lucescu’s dedication, passion, and relentless work ethic, which played a crucial role in achieving significant milestones and building a team that delivered unforgettable moments for PAOK’s supporters.
“Our shared journey was marked by trophies, memorable victories, intense emotions, and moments that will forever remain in the history of the PAOK family. Above all, it was defined by mutual respect and a strong bond cultivated over the years,” the club’s statement read.
PAOK expressed sincere gratitude to Razvan Lucescu for his contributions and wished him health, personal happiness, and success in his future endeavors. “Razvan will always remain an important part of PAOK’s history,” the club added.
Lucescu took charge of the Greek side in July 2021. Over his tenure, he managed 256 games, securing 143 wins, 56 draws, and suffering 57 defeats.
Last season, PAOK finished third in the Greek Super League, earning a spot in the UEFA Europa League. They could potentially face Dynamo Kyiv in the second qualifying round, should the Ukrainian side advance to that stage.
