UEFA Confirms No Mid-Half Cooling Breaks Unlike FIFA at Euro 2028
UEFA has confirmed it will not follow FIFA’s example by introducing cooling breaks during matches at the World Cup.
These pauses, implemented at the 2026 World Cup, have faced criticism from fans who view them as commercial interruptions benefiting the organizers.
UEFA clarified that cooling breaks are already included in the regulations for Euro 2028, the Champions League, and other competitions, but they will only be used when temperatures reach 35°C (95°F) or higher.
