Preseason friendly between Preston North End and Barcelona has been called off due to a shortage of available players. The English side lacks enough first-team members to field a squad for the match against Hansi Flick’s team.

Barcelona began their preseason preparations with a penalty shootout defeat to Birmingham at St Andrew’s Stadium, drawing 2-2 before losing 2-3 on penalties.

The Catalan club’s next fixture is scheduled for August 8th against Nottingham Forest.
