Real Madrid has secured the signing of Ivory Coast international Yan Diomande from RB Leipzig for a fee of €140 million, according to BBC Sport journalist Charlotte Coates.
The 19-year-old winger has committed to a seven-year contract with the Spanish giants.
This transfer fee underscores Real Madrid’s high valuation of Diomande’s potential, as the club believes he can develop into a key player in the future.
Previously, Paris Saint-Germain and Liverpool were among the clubs interested in the young talent, but ultimately, Diomande chose to join Real Madrid.
Diomande becomes the sixth summer signing for Real Madrid under new head coach José Mourinho, following the arrivals of Bernardo Silva, Ibrahima Konaté, Denzel Dumfries, Marc Cucurella, and Carlos Espe.
Diomande was named the Bundesliga Young Player of the Season for 2025/26, having scored 12 goals and provided 8 assists in the league.
He featured in all four matches for Ivory Coast at the World Cup, where the team was eliminated in the quarterfinals after a defeat to Norway.
