Ruslan Malinovskyi has successfully undergone surgery on his left knee. The arthroscopic debridement procedure was performed in Belgium by Dr. Koen Lagea.
The operation was necessary due to an extensive bone bruise and persistent mechanical issues that conservative treatment failed to resolve. The injury first became apparent at the end of August when the player experienced pain on the inner side of his left knee following a blow to the leg. Subsequent examinations and MRI scans revealed significant swelling of the soft tissues and bones.
The club’s medical team immediately initiated therapy, but as symptoms persisted, the decision was made to proceed with surgery.
Professor Ahmet Beşir, chairman of Trabzonspor’s medical council, officially confirmed the success of the procedure. Malinovskyi will now begin rehabilitation under the supervision of the club’s specialists. Initial estimates indicate he will be sidelined for at least six weeks.
