Serge Gnabry will not travel to Greece for the Nations League match and will remain in Munich. The winger’s call-up, shortly after recovering from a serious injury, came as a surprise from the new Germany coach Jürgen Klopp. Gnabry played in three matches but was substituted at halftime against Serbia due to heavy physical demands.

The German coaching staff decided not to take any risks with the winger in the fourth round, opting instead to give opportunities to the young Said El-Ma and Lennart Krau. Securing a victory in this crucial away fixture would solidify Germany‘s strong start under Klopp’s management ahead of the November international break.
