Steve Clarke Resigns as Scotland Manager Following World Cup Exit
Scotland’s head coach Steve Clarke is stepping down following the team’s exit from the World Cup. Ghana’s defeat to Croatia sealed Scotland’s fate, as they failed to qualify among the eight best third-placed teams.
Clarke held the position for seven years, guiding Scotland to three major international tournaments. Notably, he had signed a new four-year contract just in May ahead of the World Cup.
The 62-year-old coach, who led the national side for seven years, became the first manager to take Scotland to three consecutive major football championships.
