ASVEL is seeking reinforcements and has shown interest in Petar Cornelie. The 31-year-old French forward is currently a free agent after spending last season with the Turkish club Esenler Erokspor.
This means Cornelie could return to France and the EuroLeague after just one season away. The former player of Real Madrid and Monaco won the EuroLeague title with Real Madrid in 2023 and secured the French championship with Monaco in 2024. Cornelie also has NBA experience, having played for the Denver Nuggets.
Another potential new signing for ASVEL is Tai Tai Washington. The 24-year-old guard has not secured an NBA contract and is therefore ready to move to Europe.
Throughout his career, Washington has appeared in 74 NBA games, representing the Houston Rockets, Milwaukee Bucks, Phoenix Suns, and Los Angeles Clippers.
In those appearances, he averaged 2.9 points and 1.1 assists in nine minutes per game.
