The arrival of the Portugal national team in Porto was marked by a confrontation with fans right at the airport. This incident followed the fallout between head coach Jorge Jesus and the team’s star player Cristiano Ronaldo, which ultimately led to Ronaldo leaving the squad.
As the team was exiting the airport terminal to board their bus, one fan began shouting at Jesus. The moment was captured on video.
“You’re worthless! Your ego is as big as the Eiffel Tower! You’re not even worth Cristiano Ronaldo’s fingernail! You’re nothing! Ronaldo is the greatest Portuguese athlete of all time! Wake up!” the fan shouted, according to A Bola.
Reports also indicate that in the same arrival area, another supporter voiced dissatisfaction with Cristiano Ronaldo, sparking a heated exchange and mutual accusations among the crowd awaiting the national team.
