Charlotte Hornets point guard LaMelo Ball is attracting significant attention on the NBA trade market, according to insider Shams Charania.
While Ball prefers to remain with Charlotte, the Hornets are open to trading him if they receive a substantial offer.
“Several teams are actively pursuing LaMelo Ball right now. I’ve been told the Hornets are also exploring trade possibilities. Ball finished the season strongly, reflecting the Hornets’ progress over the past calendar year. Both sides are in a favorable position. I’ve heard that Ball wants to continue playing for Charlotte, but the organization is receiving quite aggressive offers. If the price is right, he could very well be traded,” Charania stated.
The Minnesota Timberwolves and Toronto Raptors are reportedly the leading contenders for Ball, who averaged 20.1 points and 7.1 assists across 72 games last NBA season.
